How do I apperceive if my brakes are bad?

Many another agency are there to acquisition out if there is some affectionate of accountability with your brakes, afar from the anchor ablaze on your console gets on and birr alerts you aback there is any problem.

These agency may or may not bolt your absorption but you charge to be actual active aback it comes to demography affliction of the braking system. Following accomplish can advice you to acquisition out ifthere is any botheration with your brakes and you charge to watch out:

1. If the anchor is not alive the agent gets on one ancillary aback it is applied.

This agency that brakes are not able in their position and there is a charge to fix them aback in their position. afore any blow happens, get it anchored by a acceptable mechanic.

2. aback brakes are applied, the anchor sinks cautiously or become actual hard.

This happens if there is a lot of air present in the anchor or two to beneath anchor oil. You can cull out the air. For the blockage, leakage esplanade your car and analysis whether any oil is acquisition beneath your car because of arising or not.

3. aback brakes are activated there is squeaky noise.

If this complete is heard frequently agency thatthe anchor pad has beat out and two metals are abrading Milan anniversary added bearing the sound. This is additionally dangerous!

4. It is difficult to abase the brakes paddle.

If you advance the brakes and they are harder to press, if you accept ability brakes, this indicates that abetment assemblage and in the vacuum; there is some affectionate of leakage. But in accustomed brakes it indicates that there may be able to in the anchor line.

Heavy Maintenance Checks

Hydraulic Brakes - Heavy Maintenance Checks

Hi friends. Yesterday, I discovered Hydraulic Brakes - Heavy Maintenance Checks. Which is very helpful in my opinion and you.

Do you know - Heavy Maintenance Checks

Heavy maintenance checks and landing gear repair.

What I said. It just isn't the conclusion that the real about Hydraulic Brakes . You look at this article for home elevators anyone need to know is Hydraulic Brakes .

About Hydraulic Brakes

a. The landing gear on aircraft may be fixed or retractable.

b. Retractable gear on aircraft is usually operated with hydraulic or electric power, although some models of light general aviation aircraft have manual retract systems operated by a lever in the cockpit.

(1) In addition to the normal operating system, emergency systems are usually provided to ensure that the landing gear can be lowered in case of main-system failure.

(2) Emergency systems consist of backup hydraulic systems, or stored nitrogen aas bottles that can be directed into actuating cylinders, mechanical systems that can be operated manually, or free-fall gravity systems.

Wear points, such as landing gear up-and-downjack-screws, latches, door hinges, cables, pulleys, bellcranks, and pressure-type grease fittings, should be lubricated after every cleaning operation.

To prevent possible failure of a component due to incompatibility or breakdown of the grease, the following should be observed:

1. Use only greases approved for use by the product manufacturer.

2. Never mix different kinds of grease without approval from the product manufacturer.

3. Follow the manufacturer's instructions or FAA approved process for cleaning, purging, and lubricating of the component.

To obtain proper lubrication of the main support bushings, it may be necessary to jack the aircraft.

Those companies with approval for Boeing heavy maintenance are concerned with retractable landing gearand thorough inspection of the landing gear is part and parcel of heavy maintenance checks. This involves the entire structure of the gear, including attachments, struts, wheels, brakes, actuating mechanisms for retractable gears, gear hydraulic system and valves, gear doors, and all associated parts. The manufacturer's inspection procedures should be followed where applicable.

It is recommended that only easily removable neutral solutions be used when cleaning landing gear components. Any advantage, such as speed or effectiveness, gained by using cleaners containing corrosive materials, can be quickly counteracted if these materials become trapped in close-fitting surfaces and crevices.

NOTE: Any time the aircraft is on aircraft jacks, check the landing gear main supportbushings for wear. Consult the aircraft manufacturer's overhaul manual for specific wear tolerances.

During winter operation, excess grease may congeal and cause increased loads on the gear retraction system, electric motors and hydraulic pumps. This condition can lead to component malfunctions; therefore, it is recommended that cleanliness be stressed during and after lubrication.

Fixed landing gear should be examined regularly for wear, deterioration, corrosion, alignment, and other factors that may cause failure or unsatisfactory operation. During a 100-hour or annual inspection of the fixed gear, the aircraft should be jacked up to relieve the aircraft weight. The gear struts and wheels should be checked for abnormal play and corrected.

Narrow bodied aircraftmaintenance

a. Old aircraft landing gear that employs a rubber shock (bungee) cord for shock absorption must be creamed for age, fraying of the braided sheath, narrowing (necking) of the cord, and wear at points of contact with the structure and stretch. If the age of the shock cord is near 5 years or more, it is advisable to replace it with a new cord. A cord that shows other defects should be replaced, regardless of age.

b. The cord is color-coded to indicate when it was manufactured and to determine the life of the shock cord. According to MIL-C-5651A, the color code for the year of manufacture is repeated in cycles of 5 years.

c. The color coding is composed of interwoven threads in the cotton wool that holds the strands of rubber cord together. Two spiralthreads are used for the year coding and one thread is used for the quarter of the year rose, e.g. yellow and blue would indicate that the cord was manufactured in 1994 during April, May, or June.

d. Shock struts of the spring-oleo type should be examined for leakage, smoothness of operation, looseness between the moving parts, and play at the attaching points. The extension of the struts should be checked to make sure that the springs are not worn or broken. The section of the strut piston should be free of nicks, cuts, and rust.

e. Air-oil struts should undergo an inspection similar to that recommended for spring-oleo struts. In addition, the extension of the strut should be checked to see that it ' Tomb conforms to the distance specified by the manufacturer. If an air-oil strut"bottoms", that is, it is collapsed-the gas charge and hydraulic fluid has been lost from the air chamber. This is probably due to a loose or defective air valve or to defective o-ring seals.

CAUTION: Before an air-oil strut is removed or disassembled, the air valve should be opened to make sure that all air pressure is removed. Severe injury and/or damage can occur as the result of disassembling a strut when even a small amount of air pressure is still in the air chamber.

f. The method for checking the fluid level of an air-oil strut is given in the manufacturer's maintenance manual. An alternate means of servicing an oil strut is to jack up the aircraft, remove the strut's valve cap, release the air charge in the strut by depressing the valve core, remove the strut's valvecore, attach a clean two-foot rubber or plastic hose to the threaded portion that houses the valve core, and secure with a hose clamp. Put the other end of the hose into a clean two quart container filled with the correct hydraulic fluid for the strut. Cover the container with a clean rag to prevent spillage. Now, slowly raise the gear/strut assembly either manually or with another jack under the strut. This will drive the remaining air out of the strut into the container of hydraulic fluid. Once the gear is fully retracted, slowly lower the gear. The hydraulic fluid in the can will be sucked into the strut. Repeat this procedure until you cannot hear any more air bubbles in the container when the wheel strut is fully retracted. With the strut fully retracted, remove the hose, insert thevalve core, lower the gear, and service the strut with nitrogen to get the proper strut extension.

g. The entire structure of the landing gear should be closely examined for cracks, nicks, cuts, corrosion damage, or any other condition that can cause stress concentrations and eventual failure. The exposed lower end of the air-oil piston is especially susceptible to damage and corrosion, which can lead to seal damage, because the strut is compressed and the piston moves past the lower strut seal, causing the seal to leak fluid and air. Small nicks or cuts can be filed and burnished to a smooth contour, eliminating the point of stress concentration. If a crack is found in a landing gear member, the part must be replaced.

h. All bolts and fittings should be checked for securityand condition. Bolts to the torque links and shimmy damper tend to wear and become loose due to the operational loads placed on them. The nose-wheel shimmy damper should be checked for proper operation and any evidence of leaking. All required servicing should be performed in accordance with the aircraft service manual.

Retractable landing gear Inspection of

Inspection of the retractable landing gear should include all applicable items mentioned in the inspection for the fixed gear. In addition, the actuating mechanisms must be creamed for wear in any joint looseness, trunnion, or bearings; leakage of fluid from any hydraulic lines or units; and, smoothness of operation. The operational check is performed by jacking the aircraft according to the manufacturer'sinstructions and then operating the gear retracting and extending system.

Landing-gear doors should be checked. Improper adjustment of sequence valves may cause doors to rub against structures or gear wheels. The manufacturer's checklist should be followed to ensure that critical items are checked. While the aircraft is still on jacks, the gear can be tested for looseness of mounting points, play in torque links, condition of the inner cylinder strut in wheel bearings, play, and play in actuating linkages. Emergency blow down gear bottles should be creamed for damage and corrosion and weighed to see if the bottle is still retaining the charge.

Mechanics should be aware that retread tyres can be dimensionally bigger than a "new" tyre. While this does not pose a problem onfixed landing gear aircraft, it may present a serious problem when installed on retractable landing gear aircraft. It is strongly recommended that if a retread tyre is installed on a retractable landing gear retraction test aircraft, to be performed. With the gear on the up-and-lock position, the mechanic should determine that if the tyre expands due to high ambient temperatures, heat generated from taxi and take-offs, landings, or repeated heavy braking, the tyre will not expand to the point that it becomes wedged in the wheel well.

The proper operation of the antiretraction system should be checked in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Where safety switches are actuated by the torque links, the actual time of closing or opening switch can be checked by removing all airfrom the strut and then collapsing the strut. In every case, the adjustment should be such that the gear control cannot be placed in the UP position or that the system cannot operate until the shock strut is at the full extended position.

During the operational tests, the smoothness of operation, effectiveness of up-and-down operation of locks, the warning horn, indicating operation of systems, and clearance of tyres in wheel wells should all be checked.

Hydraulic Press Brakes - Volvo Car Maintenance

Hi friends. Now, I learned about Hydraulic Press Brakes - Volvo Car Maintenance. Which may be very helpful if you ask me therefore you.

Do you know - Volvo Car Maintenance

What you must do, once in a month, is to check up you car yourself! Fluids are an important part of your Volvo car. Make sure that all the fluids are up to the top line and that the ILO is lubricating the car system properly. Take care of the radiator coolant, brake fluid, oil levels, the windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, your your Hydraulic Clutch fluid, and your Automatic Transmission fluid. The last three may not apply to most cars, but for those who do have it, it is important to maintain them properly.

What I said. It isn't the conclusion that the true about Hydraulic Press Brakes . You see this article for information about what you want to know is Hydraulic Press Brakes .

About Hydraulic Press Brakes

Coolant leaks are common in cars which have weak or old radiator hoses. Locate the radiator hose in your car and make sure that there are no tears or tattered à Nettoyer à fond!!!, ends. If there are, you need to change them immediately. Squeeze the hoses, whenthe engine is cold and see whether they are brittle. Also, check the clamps and make sure the hoses cannot be turned. The hoses should not be wet or damp there either. If they are, either tighten the clamps or replace them.

Check your Volvo belts as well. They are very important, and loose or broken belts are very hard to manage. The belts are generally located at the front of the engine. Usually, the number of belts depends on the car itself. They operate the air conditioner, fan, alternator, water pump and the smog pump. Press down on the longest part of the belt between the pulleys with your thumb. Check the manual that comes along with the car, to check the tension of the belts. Make sure that the tension is the same. Otherwise, replace them.

Basic Car Maintenance Checklist

Hydraulic Brakes - Basic Car Maintenance Checklist

Good morning. Today, I discovered Hydraulic Brakes - Basic Car Maintenance Checklist. Which could be very helpful in my experience so you.

Do you know - Basic Car Maintenance Checklist

Perhaps the best maintenance method for your car is preventive maintenance. Aside from prolonging the life of your car, it can also ensure that your car is in top condition especially during times when you need it the most. You'll only need to check the basic components of your car on a regular basis in order to achieve this, and set a general checkup schedule that would best work for you and your car.

What I said. It just isn't the actual final outcome that the real about Hydraulic Brakes . You read this article for information about anyone wish to know is Hydraulic Brakes .

About Hydraulic Brakes

Each part of your car plays an important role, but without the wheel, your car literally won't run. Check your car's user's manual to find out how much pressure the tires should carry for efficient performance. Filling your tires with the correct amount of pressure can also help Inca their lifespan. It's also advisable that you have the tires rotated after every 7 thousandmiles the car travels.

Checking under the hood is perhaps the easiest part of maintaining your car. Simply by looking for signs of tears on the belts and hoses, you'll be able to tell if there's a problem or not. Keep an eye on the level of both the transmission and engine oil as well. A darker color in the fluid should tell you that it's time for an oil change.

When checking the brakes, there are three important things you should observe to find out if it needs some fixing. The first one is when you hear a squealing noise each time the car slows down to a halt. The second one is when the pedal goes all the way down when you step on it, and the last one, when the car pulls to only one side when stopping.

If you hear a squealing sound each time you go for a brake, itmeans you should replace the pads. If your problem is with the pedal going all the way down when you step on it, you may need to add more brake fluid or replace the rear brake lining. With the third brake problem, adding hydraulic pressure will help solve the problem.

Going to your car's battery, you should understand that while it has a lifespan of 4 to 5 years, there are methods you can use to prevent it from wearing out quickly. One is by cleaning the battery cables from time to time. Another is by always making sure that the cables are tightened, and the bar that holds the battery down is secure.

I hope you will get new knowledge about Hydraulic Brakes . Where you possibly can offer utilization in your life. And above all, your reaction is Hydraulic Brakes . Read more.. Basic Car Maintenance Checklist.

Preventative Maintenance Before Your Motoring Holiday

Hydraulic Press Brakes - Preventative Maintenance Before Your Motoring Holiday

Hi friends. Now, I learned all about Hydraulic Press Brakes - Preventative Maintenance Before Your Motoring Holiday. Which is very helpful in my opinion and also you.

Do you know - Preventative Maintenance Before Your Motoring Holiday

Before setting off on a motoring holiday it is always a good idea to examine your vehicle thoroughly for any telltale signs of wear or imminent failure. An hour or two spent looking at the vital parts of your vehicle can ensure that you have a trouble free holiday and spend your time touring and sightseeing rather than staring at the back of a tow truck as it brings you back to civilization.

What I said. It shouldn't be the final outcome that the actual about Hydraulic Press Brakes . You see this article for information on what you want to know is Hydraulic Press Brakes .

About Hydraulic Press Brakes

Some of the essential things you should look at include:

As you first drive your car, start slow and test the brakes, listen for any sounds that are not normal. Car brakes work as hydraulic pressure is supplied the brake caliper forcing the pads against the brake rotor causing friction to slow the vehicle. Observe the brake operation and if there are any irregularities "inspect thebrake system immediately. With the car stationary press the brake peddle down and allow to return and then check proper brake peddle operation and the distance of travel of the brake pedal, if proper brake peddle operation is not present further inspection is required (do not drive). If a full service is necessary to typical brake replacement will include a brake caliper, brake pads and brake rotor.

Next, release the hood latch and lift the hood, the hood will only open slightly because all hoods have been designed with a secondary safety latches that must be activated before the hood will open completely. Inspecting the air filter is a simple process in most cases and typically only involves opening the hood and locating the air filter housing that is usually near the air intake.Start by checking under the hood, inspect the cooling hoses, vacuum lines and multi rib belt drive for any obvious cracks or breaks and repair as needed.

Water temperature and oil pressure are most important as they monitor your engine's cooling and lubrication systems vital. For example: if your car is operated in cold climate conditions the ILO will need to be changed more often to help keep moisture out of the engine and engine oil created by condensation. (Some manufacturers like Mercedes Benz use synthetic oil as standard equipment) you can typically add about 40% longer life from a full synthetic oil. Be sure to recheck the oil level after the engine has been run and add if needed. First check the engine oil level (if you are changing the engine oil, check the oil level afterthe oil change has been performed) this engine oil level dip stick is usually indicated by a yellow handle and it will have two marks on the stick-aminimum level and a maximum level. The distance in between these marks represent a quart, if the ILO is in between the marks the level is ok. If the oil level is below the lower level mark or not on the dip stick at all engine oil must be added until between the inductor lines.

All fluids must be maintained at a proper level, while some are easily checked and others will require you to lift the car to access underbody components parts. Next look for any fluid leaks and pin point their source for further repair procedures. The transmission fluid is used to perform several tasks from holding hydraulic pressure, lubricating bearings and internal coolingtransmission components. Normal transmission operation will cause fluid contamination and if left a-attended will cause premature transmission failure. Brake systems with ABS (anti skid brakes) control systems add extra usage that will break down the fluid chemically. When brake fluid composition it looses it can cause brake component failure such as a brake caliper or ABS main valve system. Flushing the brake system removes all used brake fluid and replaces it with new fluid. At the same time, check the windscreen washer fluid. It helps to use the right fluid (don't put washing up liquid in it as it will leave a residue on your screen that will impair your vision). I personally use clean water with about 10% metho in it.

If your car has a diesel engine, you may already be awarethat water collects in the fuel tank. For this reason, diesels have a fuel filter fitted (normally in the engine bay-check your handbook) to trap water and prevent it from entering the engine. Water that collects in the fuel filter can freeze at low temperatures, so it is a good idea to drain it off. Whether you have a diesel or petrol engine, always make sure that you have at least a quarter of a tank of fuel. That way, if it's difficult to get to the filling station, or there are fuel supply problems, you'll always have some to keep you going. Some vehicles have no external fuel filter, fuel filter, these vehicles are located in the fuel tank attached to the bottom of the fuel pump. A well maintained car means improved fuel economy as well as a car that is easier to operate. Any fuelfilter (including the new ones) can clog or be exposed to moisture and rust--so don't fall for the lifetime fuel filter story. You would be surprised at the amount of dirt and other junk that is prevented from going into your vehicle because of fuel station pump filters.

Engine exhaust is a poisonous gas that in concentrated amounts is deadly so it is important to perform an inspection of your exhaust system annually. If an inspection reveals any rusted holes or broken exhaust pipes replacement is required. This system needs little maintenance but a visual inspection is needed to ensure the proper operation.

New and Used Forklift Maintenance - Daily Safety Checks For Forklifts

Hydraulic Brakes - New and Used Forklift Maintenance - Daily Safety Checks For Forklifts

New and Used Forklift Maintenance - Daily Safety Checks For Forklifts

Regardless of whether your forklifts are new or what kind of shape your used forklift is in, they need to be inspected every day before the equipment is used. Depending on the situation, it may also require checks if there is a shift or driver change. This daily check includes two separate inspections -- a circle and an operations inspection.

Hydraulic Brakes

Circle Check

As the name implies, the first thing all drivers should do is walk around their forklifts and see if anything could potentially be a problem. You first want to make note of anything in or around the new or used forklift as well as its overall condition. It should be reasonably clean and well maintained. You also want to move anything out of the way that may be on the floor of the equipment that could cause the operator to fall as well as items around the forklift that could cause a problem when moving it. Finally, with a new or used forklift, ensure you are aware of anything above it that a load or the vehicle itself could come in contact with.

The inner workings of forklifts need to be checked on a daily basis. The battery and cables need to be in good shape and working in top form. The connections should be snug with no fraying and the battery should be held in place. It should also be fully charged with full cells and ready to go. Chain anchor pins, hoses, nuts, bolds, guards, bolts, and other items should all be in place and in good condition. Safety items like seatbelts, horns, and lights all need to work properly and have no sign of wear.

The main mechanisms of the forklift are the last portion of the circle check. Even if it is a used forklift, the forks can't show any sign of damage including bent segments or cracking. The latches all need to be working. Finally, inspect the carriage teeth to ensure they show no signs of damage or wear.

Operations Inspection

Once the driver has completed the circle check, it is time to inspect the actual operating mechanisms of the machine. In all, three brake systems need to be working perfectly before use. First, ensure the deadman seat brake holds when you sit and stand up. The parking brake should hold when the slightest bit of throttle is applied and the foot brake should bring you to a smooth stop in a reasonable amount of distance.

When it comes to driving the unit, it should steer with a reasonable amount of force and be smooth. It should also shift without hesitation of extreme movements from the clutch or gears. The fork operations are next to be tested. See how well it rises and lowers by lifting and lowering the forks as high and as low as they go. Next, tilt them forward and back all the way in both directions. All of the movements should be smooth and should hold in position. Once this is complete, listen for anything unusual and check the hydraulics for leaking.

It doesn't matter whether you have a new TCM forklift, a used Toyota forklift, or how long you have been operating this type of machine. These checks are the only things that stand between a productive day and a dangerous situation. Forklifts are a valuable tool, and by maintaining them and keeping them in top condition, you can enjoy them for years to come without incident.

Preventative Maintenance for Forklifts

You have a lot of money invested in your forklift. In order to protect that investment, perform preventative maintenance on your forklift regularly. Whether you or someone in your shop is performing your forklift maintenance or if you are having an outside company perform the maintenance on your forklift, it is good to know the procedure to be sure that your forklift is properly maintained.

Jeff Wark is a forklift mechanic with 35 years of mechanical experience. Read on to learn Jeff's how-to on forklift maintenance.

Start the forklift and let it run briefly while you listen to the engine performance. Listen for any knocks or misses. Listen for any squealing caused by the belts. Then listen for any exhaust leaks. Drive the forklift forwards and backwards to check for any slips and to observe any possible wheel issues. Shut the engine off.

When performing preventative maintenance on your forklift, first check the horn, gauges, safety warning devices, cab lights, outside lights, back-up lights, and overhead guard for proper operation. Check for any burnt out bulbs and if any device still does not work, check the wiring and make repairs.

Next in your forklift preventative maintenance procedure is to check the battery compartment. Clean the battery terminal, battery cables and battery connectors. Open every cell cap and check the cells for proper fill levels and fill with water as needed. Apply protectant on the connectors to prevent corrosion. Leave the battery cables disconnected.

Drain the oil from your forklift. Change the oil filter, change the hydraulic filter, transmission filter, fuel filters, and the air filter. Prior to installing the new filters, use a permanent marker to write the date on the new filter. Check all fluid levels and fill as necessary. Check the anti-freeze in the cooling system.

Visually inspect the drive axle when you are underneath the machine. If there is a grease fitting, make sure to grease the drive axle.

Check the belts on the forklift engine. Check for cracks and frays on the belts.

Perform a visual check of the forklift's exhaust system. Look for any cracks or holes in the exhaust system.

Look at the tires on the forklift for any cracks or signs of excessive wear. On an air filled tire, check the tread. Check the differential fluid.

Check the clutch pedal on your forklift. Check the steering cylinder and the drag links. Check for any leaks or for any bends in the system.

Proceed to the hoist and look at the hydraulic lines for any leaks. If there are any leaks on the hydraulic system of your forklift, tighten the lines. If this does not correct the leaks, the fittings may need to be changed or an o-ring may need to be replaced.

While inspecting the hoist, look at the forks and mast to see if there are any visible cracks or chips. Look for any bowing or bends in the forks. Any of these should be noted on your checklist and flagged to the owner and operator as a potentially dangerous issue which needs to be further addressed.

Lubricate all the fittings on your forklift. This would include the hoist mechanism and tie-rod ends.

Checking the wheel bearings is listed on preventative maintenance checklists. However, this is normally done when replacing the brakes on the forklift. Unless there is some indication during the initial driving check out of the forklift that there may be an issue with the wheel bearings, it is not recommended to check the wheel bearings. More harm than good may be done when checking the wheel bearings.

Reconnect the battery cables and start the forklift again. Listen again for any unusual noises.

Lastly, a good preventative maintenance on your forklift will include some cleaning. Wipe down the forklift and use a spray cleaner to clean the forklift. Jeff recommends an oil based spray cleaner for the most effective cleaning of your forklift.

Always follow proper safety procedures when performing any maintenance on your forklift.

Use a good checklist when performing preventative maintenance on your forklift. Use the checklist to make sure all the work items are performed and to make notes of any issues that should be checked into further. Essential Car Maintenance Tips

A car is one of the most valuable investments that a person will make in their lifetimes. Taking a little time to perform some routine maintenance on a car can translate to big savings in the future by preventing major and costly problems from developing. There are a number of things that you can do to help your car at home without having to go to a mechanic.

One of the easiest things to do is to make sure all of the fluid levels are adequate. In an automobile, there are five major fluid levels to watch. These are all located under the bonnet of the car. Depending on the make and model, they may be in different locations around the engine so it is advisable to consult with the owners manual to pinpoint the exact spot. The first fluid to check is the oil. Oil is responsible for lubricating the engine. In order to check the oil, pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag. Take note of the minimum and maximum marks on the stick. Reinsert the dipstick into the oil well and then pull it out again. Check to see that the oil line is between the minimum and maximum marks on the stick. If it is below the minimum level, add oil slowly, being sure not to overfill. The next fluid to check is the coolant. This is the mixture of water and antifreeze that goes into the radiator, which cools the engine. Make sure that the coolant is between the maximum and minimum levels. Similarly, you should check the levels of brake fluid and transmission fluid. Some models of cars may contain closed transmission systems that do not allow for a person to easily check the transmission fluid levels. If that is the case, you do not need to concern yourself with this level.

Another easy thing to do at home is to check your tyre pressure. Low tyre pressure can cause poor handling and control and lower fuel efficiency. First, consult the owners guide for the correct tyre pressure for your car. Next, unscrew the cap on the tyre and use an air pressure gauge to measure the pressure inside the tyre. If the tyre is low on pressure, add more with an air pump. If the pressure is too high, release a little air through the cap.

Cars often need new windscreen wipers. If you notice that your windows are not being cleared very well during the rain, it may be time to change the wipers. The first step in changing the wiper blades is to check the owners workshop manual for the size of the blade that the car needs. Next, you need to lift the blades off the windscreen and then slide the old blades off. Many blades have tabs that hold them into place, so you may need to press one to release the blade. Next, slide the new blade on and be sure that it is locked into place.

Front and rear lights can also be changed at home without having to go to a mechanic. If a light were to ever blow out, changing it is just a matter of opening the bonnet or the boot lid, opening a small panel, and then exchanging bulbs.

Finally, it is important to take your car in for regular services. Nothing is more important in extending the life of a car than getting routine oil changes. Also, occasionally belts will need to be replaced. All of these services must be performed by professional mechanics.

By following some of these simple tips, you can ensure that your car will last for several years, running in tip top shape.

Brake safety and Brake Maintenance

Importance of brakes cannot be denied. literally you love your house and do not want whatever to happen to them. Many accidents are caused because of defective brakes and many habitancy have lost their life. No one feels gather while driving if the brakes aren't working properly.

How do I know if my brakes are bad?

Hydraulic Press Brakes

Many alternative ways are there to find out if there is some kind of fault with your brakes, apart from the brake light on your dash panel gets on and alerts you when there is any problem.

These ways may or may not catch your attentiveness but you need to be very alert when it comes to taking care of the braking system. Following steps can help you to find out if there is any qoute with your brakes and you need to watch out:

1. If the brake is not working the car gets on one side when it is applied.

This means that brakes are not in their allowable position and there is a need to fix them back in their position. Before any mishap happens, get it fixed by a good mechanic.

2. When brakes are applied, the brake sinks softly or come to be very hard.

This happens if there is lot of air gift in the brake or due to less brake oil. You can pull out the air. For checking the leakage, park your car and check whether any oil is gathering below your car because of leakage or not.

3. When brakes are applied there is squeaky noise.

If this sound is heard frequently means that the brake pad has worn out and two metals are rubbing against each other producing the sound. This is also dangerous!

4. It is difficult to depress the brakes paddle.

If you push the brakes and they are harder to press, if you have power brakes, this indicates that sustain unit and in the vacuum; there is some kind of leakage. But in normal brakes it indicates that there may be a crack in the brake line.

5. Pressing the brakes there is a vibration

This means that your brakes rotor and the pad have worn out after using for a long time.

Now when you get to know that there is qoute with your brakes, fix the qoute as soon as inherent as it could be dangerous. If there is no visible default except of a minor noise, any way it is inherent that when the brakes are applied by you to stop the car and it does not stops because brakes are completely failed, so get the brakes fixed before it is too late.

You can to do it on your own as well it's not that difficult. You can replace the brake pads and brake liquid literally but for hydraulic leakage or the damage of the airline it is better to get it fixed by an devotee and it is not at all expensive!
